What is promotional mix and its types?

promotional mix:

              * Marketing is the process by which the companies create customer interest in product or service.

              * It generates sales techniques, business communication, business development.

              * It is an integrated process.

              * Companies build strong customer relationship & create value for their customers and for themselves.

                            * Direct Marketing.
                            * Advertising.
                            * Sales Promotion.
                            * Public relation (or) Publicity.
                            * Corporate image.
                            * Sponsorship.
                            * Product placement.
                            * Digital marketing.
  
          Direct Marketing:

                       * Direct marketing involves direct communication with selected targeted customers on a one to one basis to obtain a immediate response and cultivate long lasting customer relationship.
                       * For example: mail, fax, E-mail, Telephone, Internet, etc.

        Advertising:
 
                        * It is a paid presentation and promotion of good ideas, goods, or services by an identified sponsor in a mass media.

                        * Example: print ads, Television, catalogues, posters, banners, motion pictures, radio, etc.

      Sales promotion:

                         * A variety of short term incentives to encourage trial or purchase of a product or a service.

                         * It stimulates market demand or improve product availability.

                         * It is used to increase customer demand.

                         * Examples: Coupons, product samples, exhibition, demonstration (Demo), etc.

      Public relation or publicity:
 
                     * Building a good relationship with the public by obtaining favorable publicity.

                     * It helps in building a good corporate image and avoiding unfavorable publicity.

                      * It includes paid and free publicity to stimulate discussion and interest.

                       * For example: Newspaper, Magazine, Television, Radio, Etc.

     Sponsorship:

                        * It is an event or a contest or a race is a way to generate positive publicity.

    Product placement:

                         * It is paying a movie studio or T.V show to include a product or service.

    Digital Marketing:

                         * It is the marketing of products or services sing digital technologies or an equipment mainly on internet.
